Garden Patios & Terraces

Hard & Soft Landscaping Specialists

Outlook Landscapes of Bury St Edmunds, offers hard and soft landscaping in the Suffolk, Norfolk and Cambridgeshire areas.

At Outlook Landscapes we recognise that patios and drives are exposed to all extremes of weather, so all our patios and drives are installed to the highest specification. Our patios and drives are built on crushed granite (MoT Type 1) base, and slabs are layed on a continuous mortar bed.

This is an example of a larger garden terrace, approximately 200msq. This involved considerably groundworks to ensure good drainage off the patio and the roofs connecting into a rainwater harvesting system.

The main tank lies underneath the garden terrace.

These pictures show before and after the garden terrace construction.

Before garden terrace was installed

In this garden we created a curved patio leading from the house, the area by the fence has given the customer an area for a garden table and seats. There is also a raised flower bed created from red brick, with a shingle bed in front.

Patio

The above patio has been constructed on a good sub-base, ensuring that it will remain an attractive and practical surface for many years.

Patio circle

This area has been constructed using tumbled block paviors to give it a soft and subtle appearance. The feature circle adds interest.

This circular terrace was shaped by cutting normal square paving slabs

This circular terrace was shaped by cutting normal square paving slabs.

Originally the above garden sloped steeply and had limited use. By terracing we were able to create a considerable amount of useful space.

These unusual curved paving stones create an attractive step for the raised terraced area. Granite sets have been added to create additional interest.
